As I wade my way through entrepreneurship I am much appreciative of all of the fantastic free content that is available but my ears also hurt from all of the noise. At some point I have to pick a strategy and run with it, while along the way adapting it and making it my own. I will call this my entrepreneurial plan of attack, if it doesn’t work maybe I will retreat and call it my plan of defeat. What works for Pat Flynn may not work for me even though he is doing a tad better than me at the moment and I should probably follow his advice.
Last night I wrote my business plan and tonight I am taking some steps to make that plan happen. My business plan is painfully simple, yet still a challenge stick to and follow. I recognize that the simplicity is really a reflection of the plans ability to adapt and evolve.
What I find myself struggling with is the issue of what to do when??? It isn’t that I don’t actually know what to do, I just want to make sure that my actions are being used to a maximum level of effectiveness. Bottom line – I need priorities.
I am going to break it out as follows and use the, if then, approach to determine what to work on when:
•Priority One – Needs to be done frequently or on a schedule.
- Consult ‘Pending’ list and complete pressing tasks
- Write blog posts
- Promote content
- Schedule post for target day
- Interact on Twitter
- Share content
- Interact on forums
- Blog comment
- Develop email list give away
- Reach out to different blogs for guest posting opportunities
- Interact on Facebook
- Share content
- Podcasts
- Schedule for release on target day
- Videos
- Schedule for release on target day
- Write for books – Development of MVP
*Research may be necessary at any level of prioritization for creation of content and interaction.
