Entrepreneurial Plan of Attack – Action Plan

As I wade my way through entrepreneurship I am much appreciative of all of the fantastic free content that is available but my ears also hurt from all of the noise. At some point I have to pick a strategy and run with it, while along the way adapting it and making it my own. I will call this my entrepreneurial plan of attack, if it doesn’t work maybe I will retreat and call it my plan of defeat. What works for Pat Flynn may not work for me even though he is doing a tad better than me at the moment and I should probably follow his advice.

Last night I wrote my business plan and tonight I am taking some steps to make that plan happen. My business plan is painfully simple, yet still a challenge stick to and follow. I recognize that the simplicity is really a reflection of the plans ability to adapt and evolve.
What I find myself struggling with is the issue of what to do when??? It isn’t that I don’t actually know what to do, I just want to make sure that my actions are being used to a maximum level of effectiveness. Bottom line – I need priorities.

I am going to break it out as follows and use the, if then, approach to determine what to work on when:

•Priority One – Needs to be done frequently or on a schedule.

  1. Consult ‘Pending’ list and complete pressing tasks
  2. Write blog posts
    1. Promote content
    2. Schedule post for target day
  3. Interact on Twitter
    1. Share content
  4. Interact on forums
  5. Blog comment
  6. Develop email list give away
  7. Reach out to different blogs for guest posting opportunities
  8. Interact on Facebook
    1. Share content
  9. Podcasts
    1. Schedule for release on target day
  10. Videos
    1. Schedule for release on target day
    2. Write for books – Development of MVP

*Research may be necessary at any level of prioritization for creation of content and interaction.

•Priority Two – Needs to be done weekly or bi-weekly not necessarily scheduled.
1.Weekly review discussion with Business Partner
2.Financial review and accounting
3.Update websites – Bi Weekly
4.Check stats – Bi Weekly
i.Analytics
ii.Adsense earnings
iii.Affiliate earnings
5.Research
i.New affiliates
ii.Streams of income

•Priority Three – Needs attention monthly.
1.Newsletter distribution, scheduled for the first Thursday of every month.
i.To be completed and scheduled for delivery by the end of week three.
2.Monthly review
i.Direction for month following
3.Financial wrap-up
4.Update and review IOPs

•Priority Four – Needs attention quarterly.
oTBD
•Homeless TASKS
oLink building
oOther social networks
oDevelop auto responder
oKeyword research
oOutsourcing development
oWebsite design and update, logos, images, theme, etc.

Along with priorities there will be focuses or areas of emphasis that are usually chosen and pursed for 28 days at a time. These will be discussed at weekly and monthly reviews and tasks will be reprioritized as necessary.

There you have it. Another bare bones simple work flow plan that can be reprioritized as need be and gives me or you a good place to start. If you find this helpful or you think it really sucks please let me know.
